Product description

NC-20/C is a reactive, methoxy functional methyl-phenyl polysiloxane with a narrow molecular weight distribution.

Application

  • high temperature application for industrial facilities,
  • anti-corrosion coatings (depending on formulation)

Processing instructions

  • Use with metallic pigments to obtain continuous heat-resistance of up to 600 °C.
  • Forced drying, is only possible in presence of air humidity. The cross-linking proceeds via a hydrolysis/condensation reaction.
  • The addition of the catalyst KAT-82 must be carried out just before the application (2K system).
  • Recommended addition level of the catalyst 3 – 5% calculated on binder
  • Check the storage stability of the formulation.
  • Recommended dry film thickness: 25-50 μm

Dilution

Dilution is possible with organic solvents, e.g. aromatic, esters and alcohols.

Storage stability

When stored in an original unopened packaging between -15 and +30°C, the product has a shelf life of at least 24 months from the date of manufacture.
